Bellavista Private Protected Area (APPB) has an active land purchase program for conservation. At this moment we are negotiating the purchase of a 200-hectare (500-acre) piece of land, almost entirely forest in a very good state of conservation, with a small river important as drinking water for villages further down the mountain and a beautiful waterfall.
The price with taxes included is $525,000 (five hundred twenty-five thousand) dollars. At the present time, compared to land near the main roads in this area, being also very valuable for conservation, this is a correct and real price for such a land.
Why the urge to buy?
Number one, it is a land that adjoins the APPB, and therefore extends the protected area by more than 50%. The APPB is first of all land / forest protected forever. Your great-great-grandchildren will be able to come to know this land with an even more beautiful forest in 100 years or more!
Second, it is an inheritance ground among various brothers and sisters. It has been difficult to gather the signatures for the sale, but now everything is in order and the sale is going ahead. For now we are the best sale option, but due to their advanced age they are also in a hurry to want to sell, if they do not sell to Bellavista, for whom the conservation of the land is an unalterable priority, they could legally sell to a person whose purpose is not the conservation (converting the forest into pastures for cows or plantations, both totally unsustainable).
