Leave Quito on the highway to Los Bancos via Mitad del Mundo and CalacalÃ.
A) At km 52, there is a turn to the left just after the bridge. Follow this road past “El Paraiso del Pescador†and straight through the village of Tandayapa. Climb uphill, 6 km to Bellavista. (Total distance 12 km).
B) At km 62, there is a turn up to the left, which takes you along the ridge 12 km to Bellavista. Follow the signs all the way.
C) Travel to km 77 (unmarked), and take a road that doubles back to your left coming from Quito, to your right if (coming from Mindo - Los Bancos) just after a castle sign of the Corps of Engineers and a big red sign for Bellavista. Travel along the tops, 14 km to Bellavista, passing the few houses and school, which mark Santa Rosa village.
D) Birding Route: Take the road to Nono that leaves the Occidental bypass road in Quito, about 0.5 km before the Condado roundabout. Pass through the top of the village of Nono, and drive eventually alongside a rushing stream. Best for birds and views. 62 km total from Quito, dirt road. Reaching Tandayapa, you turn left uphill for the remaining 6 km to Bellavista.
E) Public Transport: bus to Nanegalito from Terminal Microregional de La Ofelia in north Quito - any bus for Mindo or Los Bancos or Puerto Quito, passes through Nanegalito.  Also Cooperativa Flor del Valle , which leaves from Manuel Larrea y Asunción, tel: 2527495. In Nanegalito, ask for a pickup truck or hire pickup truck of Sr. Fabián Luna or any other trucker up to Bellavista. It costs $15 price for vehicle, not per person.
F) Coming from Puerto Quito or Mindo: The turn off at Km 77 (see A 3) is 1.5 Km towards Quito after the Mindo Road turnoff. The turnoff is at the end of a long straight stretch of road; bear off to your right if coming from Mindo on Los Bancos, just before road turns downhill to left. Look out for signs on your right for Bellavista and the castle logo of Corps of Engineers. 14 Km to Bellavista, via Santa Rosa.
